Description
New for 2021! This shock is the culmination of 3+ years of development on the road and race track with Penske. Tool-less damping adjustments, ease of installation, and improved comfort through advanced bottoming control – at the most economical price point we’ve ever had. If that sounds too good to be true, it’s not – but read on…
Does your MT-10’s rear suspension leave you tired, worn out, and looking for more comfort and control? You’re not alone! The factory shock drives riders nuts when it bottoms out and pogoes down the road – especially when two-up or touring. We’ve refined this design with Penske testing many spring rates, pistons, and valving combinations to fix your gripes. The Stoltec Moto shock build provides better damping curves more suited to real-world road and track-day usage. Special attention has been made to address bottoming resistance through additional progressiveness.
The 8975 builds on Penske’s most popular motorcycle shock, the 8983 ‘Double Clicker’. This shock maintains separate adjustment of both low speed compression and rebound damping, so you have the ability to control squat and bump compliance to suit your riding style. Increased low speed compression damping (helps) keep the front end planted under hard acceleration while the high speed compression has been specifically tuned for broken pavement. Refined rebound damping means the days of getting bucked out of your seat are a thing of the past.
The shock length is optimized to balance high speed stability and athletic steering response. In short, this is the best value aftermarket shock on the market. Period.

I’ve had this shock for about 6 months now in my ’18 MT-10, and have been very happy with it. It’s set right in the middle of the range for spring, compression, and rebound and behaves wonderfully. Fairly straightforward to install as well. 5/5 stars.
