Description

Although the FZ-10’s stock brakes work very well, a few simple modifications make a tremendous difference in the lever feel  – a well-documented gripe of the factory brakes.  Trail braking is now much easier with better control. This kit includes what you’ll need to swap to a 15+ R1 Nissin radial master cylinder, but you’ll need to supply your own lever – or see here.

  2. All banjo bolts and Speed Bleeder nipples
  3. Brembo Reservoir Kit
  4. 2 bottles of Motul RBF600
  5. Yamaha R1 master cylinder, 2CR-2580A-00-00
  6. Lever bolt, 2CR-2589F-00-00

    Its hard to believe no one has reviewed the kit before, so I’ll try my best.

    The quality of the Spiegler lines are amazing.
    You might hear some people saying you can get it cheaper locally, it is not worth it.

    The Spiegler lines feel really good, they look amazing and they are perfectly made to fit the bike down to the last nut, bolt and washer.
    Its most likely the best quality you can find.

    Even though its not an easy installation, they made it as easy as it can possibly be.
    All the uncommon tools you might need for the kit are there and the instruction manuals are thorough.
    They planned everything out so you don’t have to.

    The Master cylinder swap is the best thing you can do to improve your riding quality.
    I realized before that the stock brakes weren’t great, but having the R1 master on there showed me just how much it was lacking before.

    The lever feel is a lot better and its now possible to perform an emergency stop without having to pull the lever up against the handlebar.

    Combine this kit with a proper set of sintered brake pads, and you have a whole new level of braking performance.

    The support from Stoltec was second to none, not only during the ordering phase, but also during after sales support.

    They not only spent the time to film a video on how to fix the cruise control after installing this kit, but they also gave me the information I needed to find the parts locally.

    They offered to send me the parts free of charge, but I declined as I could source them locally.

    They did say they are now including the needed parts in this kit, I was just unlucky by ordering before they made the change. You would not have to stress about sourcing any additional parts.

    Massive shout out to Stoltec for the amazing product and service.

    10/10, Would support Stoltec again in a heartbeat.
